No, not another report on my lack of ability to consistently hook carp so far this season, but the reason why it has been quiet here the past few days.  My family just picked up a 14' jon boat (tentatively named the Cloop)and are converting it into a carp chasing machine.  Temporary false floors are in, casting platform has been anti-skidded, and heading out of town on Sunday to pick up my classic Scott push pole.  We have had a few outings on it and managed to land some crappie and bluegill with the kids, but this weekend (weather and time pending) will be the first real carp outing.  Let's hope for my wife's sake (she will be on the casting platform all afternoon) that I remember how to pole a boat.
